John P. Steines, Jr
has practiced law with Miller, Johnson, Snell, and Cummiskey in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States for four years prior to completing his LL.M. in taxation at New York University. He joined the School of Law at New York University in 1978. Professor Steines' recent teaching at NYU includes classes in corporate tax, partnership taxation and international aspects of US taxation. He is counsel to Weil, Gotshal & Manges. He was also a editor-in-chief of the Tax Law Review. His written scholarship mirrors his teaching areas, with recent emphasis on partnership and international tax issues.
