David Southern
is a visiting
professor of law at Queen
Mary and Westfield College
(University of London).
He is a practising barrister
in the fields of tax law,
company law and commercial law. Formerly he was Senior Legal Adviser to Lloyds TSB plc. and Senior Principal Legal Officer at the Inland Revenue's Solicitor's Office. He has published on taxation of corporate debt and financial instruments.
