Arie Rijkers
studied fiscal economics at Tilburg University. After his graduation he worked as a tax inspector until 1981. He then started as a researcher and teacher in fiscal economics at Tilburg University. His PhD-thesis dealt with the fiscal aspects of the transformation of the legal form of an enterprise. He was appointed tax professor in 1990. He publishes and lectures on income taxation in the Netherlands.
