Paul Farmer
was born in 1955. He received his LL.B., M.Phil. at the Faculty of Law at the University of Manchester. Since 1988 he has been Legal Advisor to the Director of Tax Policy, European Commission. From 1993 to 1998 he was Legal Secretary to Advocate General Jacobs (Head of Chambers from February 1996) at the European Court of Justice. Paul Farmer is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and Barrister of Lincoln's Inn. He is visiting lecturer at the University of Leiden.
