John Avery Jones
studied law at Trinity College, Cambridge. He was awarded a PhD by Cambridge
University for published works. He is chairman of the VAT and Duties Tribunal. He is also
consulting editor of the British Tax Review, member of the editorial board
of Simon's Taxes, visiting professor of taxation at the London School of
Economics and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Bureau
of Fiscal Documentation.
