Admission Requirements

- A law degree giving access to the legal profession in the country of origin, an LL M degree, or a master degree in economics or business administration, or the equivalent of such a degree.
- During his study the student must have obtained credit for at least one basic course in taxation.
- Any other university degree at the master level or equivalent, provided that the student obtained credit for at least one basic course in taxation. Prior professional expertise in taxation is not required.
- A score of 600 (paper test), 250 (computer based test), or 100 (Internet based test) on the TOEFL test or 7,5 on the IELTS test for non-native English speakers.

Application Dates

Admissions are processed on a first come, first serve basis. If you require a visum to come to the Netherlands, we advise you to make sure your application is accepted by May 1st. This way, we can assure you that your visum-application will be well arranged and you will have time to obtain all documents required. Students who do not require a visum to come to the Netherlands are advised to make sure their application is accepted by July 1st. [More information]

Housing facility requests in Tilburg will be processed assuming that the request for such housing facilities has been presented to Debbie van Gils before the final application dates.

Application Procedure

A valid application includes:


1 a completed application form; [download]
2 a certified (i.e. stamped by the institution where it was originally obtained) copy of your original university degree or diploma. If your original diploma is written in a language other than English or Dutch, a certified translation of your original diploma is required in addition;
3 the academic record indicating the score obtained during your studies and if possible your rank in class; [download additional form]
4 two recommendation letters, one of which must come from - preferably - a former professor and (if relevant) your current employer; [download additional form]
5 evidence of your background in tax law either through study, academic research or professional work;
6 a statement of purpose, [download] and
7 a copy of your TOEFL or IELTS test score;

8 a copy of your passport plus a copy of all stamped pages in your passport.


Incomplete applications will not be considered.
